Alex Mercer: Welcome back. We are moving fast tonight. This is the Daily Sports Evening Edition for Tuesday, January 27th. The board is locked, the sharp money is settled, and we have some massive injury-driven movement to exploit. Before we dive in, we encourage you to jump into Kalshi, Polymarket, or your prediction market app of choice with us; as always, we will be using Polymarket’s data to track where the sharp money is moving. If you’re looking to place a bet or find the best odds, this is where the conviction meets the numbers. Let’s get into it. Marcus, we’ve got a lot of moving parts from the morning session. Let’s run the roll call on our open positions. Marcus Webb: Let's do it. We’re staying disciplined tonight. Alex Mercer: First up, Blazers and Wizards. We were on the Under 233.5 this morning. How’s that position looking? Marcus Webb: As we sit here now, just ahead of the 7:00 PM tip, that is a firm **Hold**. The injury reports are a total graveyard. Damian Lillard and Trae Young are both officially out. We also just got word that Scoot Henderson and Deni Avdija have been scratched. You’re looking at over 70 points of average production sitting on the bench. That 233.5 total is a legacy number from when these rosters were healthy; the market hasn't fully sucked the air out of this one yet. Alex Mercer: What about the Kings and Knicks? We liked Karl-Anthony Towns to stay Under 11.5 rebounds. Marcus Webb: That’s a **Hold** with high conviction. The market price has surged to 72 cents for the Under. KAT is back in the lineup, which usually scares people off an Under, but Mitchell Robinson is also returning to the rotation for New York. That’s going to cannibalize Towns' board opportunities. Plus, Sacramento is the number two team in the league at preventing second-chance points. If you can still get this under 75 cents before the 7:30 PM start, take it. Alex Mercer: Moving to the Bucks and 76ers. We went Under 220.5 there. Any change with Giannis being ruled out? Marcus Webb: It only strengthens the play. **Hold**. Giannis is the engine for Milwaukee’s transition game. Without him, they’re going to be forced into a half-court grind against a Philly defense that—while Embiid and George are still game-time decisions—is much more comfortable in a slow-paced environment. This 7:30 PM tip is going to be a slugfest. Alex Mercer: Detroit and Denver. We were fading Cade Cunningham’s points total at 24.5. Marcus Webb: **Hold**. Cade is active, but the intel on that wrist contusion is significant. He’s admitted to "flinching" on his jumper. Denver has the fifth-ranked rim defense in the NBA, so if he’s not comfortable shooting from deep, he’s driving into a wall. We’re trading at 57 cents on the Under right now for the 9:00 PM start. We like those odds. Alex Mercer: And finally, our lone hockey play. Sharks at Canucks. We took Vancouver as a value play at plus money. Marcus Webb: Still a **Hold**. Vancouver is trading at 46.5 cents, or about +115. The public is chasing the Sharks because of their recent win streak, but the data says otherwise. Vancouver is historically 6-0 on this specific date, January 27th. It’s a quirk, but the sharp money is banking on the Canucks' structure to break the Sharks' momentum. That puck drops at 10:00 PM ET. Alex Mercer: Alright, the morning slate is locked. But we’ve got two late-breaking adds to the portfolio. Let’s start with the Clippers and Jazz. Marcus, you’re looking at Kris Dunn? Marcus Webb: I am. We’re adding **Kris Dunn Over 6.5 Points**, trading around 62 cents. The Clippers' backcourt is decimated—Chris Paul, Bradley Beal, and Bogdanovic are all out. Dunn was questionable with an ankle, but he’s been cleared and he’s facing his former team. With Utah’s Keyonte George also out, Dunn has a massive minutes floor tonight. The Vegas lines are already jumping to 7.5, so if you can still get the 6.5 on the markets, it’s a pure discrepancy play for the 9:00 PM tip. Alex Mercer: And then we’re heading to Oklahoma City. Pelicans versus the Thunder. You’re fading SGA? Marcus Webb: This is a tactical play: **Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Under 32.5 Points**. Look, he’s an MVP candidate, but he historically struggles against New Orleans, averaging only 23 points against them. The Thunder are 14.5-point favorites for this 8:00 PM game. If this turns into the blowout the oddsmakers expect, SGA sits the entire fourth quarter. With Zion healthy and clogging the paint, Shai’s path to 33 points is a lot harder than the market thinks. We’re seeing this trade at 58 cents currently. Alex Mercer: Love it. Let’s recap the final portfolio for Tuesday night: 1. **Blazers/Wizards Under 233.5** (7:00 PM ET) 2. **KAT Under 11.5 Rebounds** (7:30 PM ET) 3. **Bucks/76ers Under 220.5** (7:30 PM ET) 4. **Cade Cunningham Under 24.5 Points** (9:00 PM ET) 5. **Vancouver Canucks Moneyline** (10:00 PM ET) 6. **Kris Dunn Over 6.5 Points** (9:00 PM ET) 7. **SGA Under 32.5 Points** (8:00 PM ET) Marcus Webb: It’s a heavy board, but the injury news has given us clear lanes. Watch those start times—the East Coast games are tipping off as we speak. Alex Mercer: That’s the slate. We’ll be back tomorrow to see how the ledger settled.
