Alex Mercer: Welcome back. It is Saturday, January 31st, and we are tracking some massive movement as we head into the late-night slate. We’ve got results rolling in and a couple of major market discrepancies to exploit before the night is over. You know the drill: we encourage you to jump into Kalshi, Polymarket, or your prediction market app of choice with us; as always, we will be using Polymarket’s data to track where the sharp money is moving. We’ve got bets on the board and the odds are shifting fast. Let's get into the Daily Sports Evening Edition. Marcus, we had a heavy focus on the ice this morning with the Kings and Flyers. Let's do a quick roll call on those positions. How is that Kings moneyline looking? Marcus Webb: That one is a locked-in win, Alex. We held our conviction there, and it paid off. The Kings took it 3-2 in overtime. Adrian Kempe was the catalyst with two goals in regulation, and Quinton Byfield ended it in the extra frame. Philadelphia’s goaltending crisis was exactly the liability we thought it would be. Alex Mercer: Great start. What about the Under 5.5 in that same game? Marcus Webb: Another win. We projected a defensive slugfest and that’s exactly what we got. Even with the game stretching into overtime, the total stayed at five goals, sliding right under that 5.5 market hook. The Kings' neutral zone control was clinical today. Alex Mercer: And finally, the puck line. We were looking for the Kings at minus one and a half. Marcus Webb: That’s our one blemish from the morning. A late Philadelphia rally forced that overtime period, which killed the multi-goal margin we needed. It’s a loss on the puck line, but taking two out of three on the Kings' thesis keeps us well in the green for the day. Alex Mercer: Solid work. Now, let’s pivot to the late additions. We’ve got some high-value opportunities in college hoops. First up, we’re looking at the UCLA Bruins hosting Indiana. The Bruins moneyline is currently trading at 65 cents. Marcus, why are we jumping on this now? Marcus Webb: It’s all about the roster depth, or lack thereof, for the Hoosiers. As we sit here now, Indiana is officially without sophomore forward Josh Harris and starting point guard Tayton Conerway. Losing your primary floor general against a Mick Cronin defense is a nightmare scenario. UCLA is on a 10-game winning streak at Pauley Pavilion and Vegas has them as 3.5-point favorites. If you can still get this under 70 cents, you take it. The Bruins' defense should suffocate a depleted Indiana rotation. Alex Mercer: I love that play. Next, we have a fascinating market gap in the Utah Tech vs. Tarleton State matchup. On Polymarket, Tarleton State is trading at just 41.5 cents, but the Vegas lines tell a completely different story. Marcus Webb: This is a massive +EV opportunity, Alex. Polymarket has Utah Tech as the 58-cent favorite, but the sharp money in Vegas actually has Tarleton State as a 1.5-point favorite. We are seeing a total inversion of the probability here. Tarleton State is at home in Stephenville, and statistically, they are the superior side in this matchup. Getting the actual favorite at a 41-cent price point is the kind of discrepancy we live for. If the lead holds early, that price is going to evaporate. Alex Mercer: Incredible value there. Let's recap the final portfolio for the night. We have the Kings Moneyline and Under 5.5 as completed wins, and the Kings -1.5 as a loss. For the active slate, we are adding UCLA Moneyline at 65 cents and Tarleton State Moneyline at 41.5 cents. Make sure you’re locked in.
