Alex Mercer: Welcome to Prediction Market HQ: Daily Sports. It is Sunday, February 8th, 2026, and we are coming to you with a massive Morning Edition. We’ve got a full slate of NBA action, but let’s not bury the lead—it is Super Bowl Sunday! We are officially in the "Special Edition" zone as the Seahawks and Patriots prepare to kick off at Levi’s Stadium. Before we dive into the board, we encourage you to jump into Kalshi, Polymarket, or your prediction market app of choice with us; as always, we will be using Polymarket’s data to track where the sharp money is moving. Marcus, it’s the biggest betting day of the year. How are we feeling? Marcus Webb: Alex, the "Alpha" today is everywhere if you know where to look. While everyone is obsessing over the Super Bowl spread, I’ve got my eyes locked on the early NBA slate, specifically that Josh Hart assist total in the Knicks-Celtics game. The markets are mispricing his mobility, and that’s where we’re going to find our edge before the football even starts. Alex Mercer: I love it. Let’s get right into the picks. We start with the big one: **Seattle vs. New England** in Super Bowl LX. The market for the **Seahawks Team Total Over 17.5** is currently trading at 58 cents. I’m all over this. Sam Darnold has been a revelation this postseason, playing mistake-free football, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba is coming off a legendary 1,700-yard season. Seattle’s offense ranks 9th in Success Rate, and they’re facing a New England defense that is 29th in EPA per play. Marcus Webb: Exactly, Alex. And let’s look at the personnel. The Patriots’ defensive spine is crumbling. Robert Spillane and Harold Landry are both officially questionable. Even if they suit up, Spillane is dealing with an ankle that kept him out of practice most of the week. Without that lateral mobility, Seattle is going to gas them in the middle of the field. This game kicks off tonight at 6:30 PM ET, so we’ll have updated market data and prop movements in our special 6:30 PM ET evening edition right before the coin toss. Alex Mercer: Moving to the hardwood, we’ve got the **Knicks vs. the Celtics** tipping off in just a few hours at 12:30 PM ET. We are taking **Josh Hart Under 4.5 Assists**, which is trading at 54 cents. Marcus, you mentioned this one earlier. Hart is nursing that left ankle sprain he picked up against the Wizards on Tuesday. He’s "probable," but that usually means "limited." Marcus Webb: It’s a volume play, Alex. The Knicks play at the 30th-ranked pace in the league—the slowest in the NBA. Fewer possessions mean fewer opportunities. When you combine that with an 18.4% drop in Hart's assist percentage recently and the fact that Brunson and KAT are vacuuming up all the usage, there’s no path for Hart to hit five assists on a bad wheel. Alex Mercer: Next up, we’re looking at **Heat vs. Wizards** at 2:00 PM ET. We’re backing **Alexandre Sarr Under 16.5 Points**, currently at 52 cents. Sarr has been struggling with ankle soreness, and quite frankly, the rookie wall is real. He’s stayed under this number in four of his last five. Marcus Webb: He’s shooting sub-40% effective field goal percentage, Alex. That is abysmal. Now you’re asking him to go into the paint against Bam Adebayo and a Heat defense that ranks 2nd in the NBA in paint protection? No chance. Sarr doesn’t have the strength yet to finish through contact, and Miami is the last team that’s going to give him a "get right" game. Alex Mercer: At 3:00 PM ET, we have the **Clippers vs. Timberwolves**. We are on the **Timberwolves Moneyline** at 65 cents. The Clippers are in absolute chaos after the trade deadline, moving Harden and Zubac. Now, they’re missing their new pieces, Garland and Mathurin, who are ruled out today. Marcus Webb: This is a pure motivation and data play. Minnesota has the #1 Adjusted Defensive Rating in the league. Rudy Gobert went public this week calling for accountability after they choked against New Orleans. You do not want to be a "reloading" Clippers team walking into the Target Center after a Gobert call-out. Plus, they’re debuting Ayo Dosunmu on defense. This should be a defensive masterclass from the Wolves. Alex Mercer: Time for it. Dog of the Day. Marcus Webb: Our high-conviction play is the **Pacers +8.5** against the Raptors, tipping off at 3:00 PM ET. This is currently trading at 51 cents. This is all about the narrative and the transition numbers. Pascal Siakam is returning to Scotiabank Arena, and we know he plays with a different gear in Toronto. Alex Mercer: I’m with you on the value here. The Raptors are a mess health-wise. Immanuel Quickley and Jakob Poeltl are both questionable. If Poeltl sits, Toronto has zero rim protection against a Pacers offense that exploits transition better than almost anyone. The Raptors allow 0.42 EPA per possession in transition—that’s a bottom-tier mark. Andrew Nembhard and Siakam should be able to keep this within two possessions easily. Marcus Webb: Toronto just blew an 18-point lead to the Wolves. They don't have the late-game discipline to cover a nearly nine-point spread against a veteran-led Pacers squad. We’re buying the mispriced probability here that Indiana keeps this competitive until the final whistle. Alex Mercer: To recap: We’re taking the Seahawks Team Total Over 17.5, Josh Hart Under 4.5 Assists, Alexandre Sarr Under 16.5 Points, the Timberwolves Moneyline, and our Dog of the Day is Pacers +8.5. Make sure to tune back in for our 6:30 PM ET Evening Edition for a final look at the Super Bowl markets before kickoff.
