Alex Mercer: We don't have a second to waste. Welcome to the Daily Sports Evening Edition for Sunday, February 22, 2026. The board is moving fast, and if you’re looking to get your bets in before the late-night window closes, the odds are shifting as we speak. Before we dive into the data, we encourage you to jump into Kalshi, Polymarket, or your prediction market app of choice with us; as always, we will be using Polymarket’s data to track where the sharp money is moving. Marcus, the morning session was a absolute gauntlet. Let’s look at the damage and see where we’re pivoting. Marcus Webb: It was a bloodbath in Oklahoma City, Alex. Let’s get the Roll Call started and see what’s still worth holding. Alex Mercer: Let's start with the one that hurt. How is that Cavaliers vs. Thunder position looking? Marcus Webb: That’s a definitive Loss. We’re bailing. The interior thesis we had—Cleveland using their size—was completely dismantled. Even with SGA and Jalen Williams out, the Thunder shot 51% from deep, hitting 21 threes. Isaiah Joe and Cason Wallace played like All-Stars, and Cleveland’s 17 turnovers turned into 31 OKC points. The final was 121 to 113. If you were holding that Cavs ML, it’s a zero. We move on. Alex Mercer: Brutal. All right, moving to the East Coast. What’s the status of the Hornets vs. Wizards position? Marcus Webb: As we sit here now, this is a Hold. At the time of recording, we are midway through the first quarter and it’s a dogfight—Charlotte leads 18 to 17. The Wizards' rotation is a ghost town with Trae Young and Alex Sarr out, which is exactly why we liked Bub Carrington. He’s in the starting lineup and getting the usage we predicted. The market was trading his volume at 54 cents this morning; if you can still find a way into his usage props under 60 cents before the half, the edge remains. Alex Mercer: High stakes in LA tonight. How about the Celtics vs. Lakers position? Marcus Webb: Conviction held. This one tips off at 6:30 PM ET, so the window is closing. LeBron James is confirmed in, while Jayson Tatum is officially out for Boston. This has shifted the market significantly. We saw LeBron’s rebounding and assist lines trading at 65 cents earlier; with Tatum’s length gone and Nikola Vucevic now in the mix for the Lakers to clog the paint, LeBron is going to have to facilitate. If you can get the Lakers ML or LeBron’s over/unders at current prices, we like the veteran in this rivalry spot. Alex Mercer: Moving to the Midwest—how’s the Knicks vs. Bulls position looking? Marcus Webb: Hold. This is an 8:00 PM ET tip-off. The big news here is Mitchell Robinson sitting out this back-to-back. That is the green light for Karl-Anthony Towns. Chicago’s interior defense is basically a revolving door right now, and KAT’s rebounding line was trading at 58 cents this morning. We expect him to clear 10.5 rebounds before the fourth quarter even starts. Stick with it. Alex Mercer: And finally, the late-night desert showdown. What’s the word on the Trail Blazers vs. Suns position? Marcus Webb: Conviction held. This is an 8:00 PM ET start as well. The market is leaning toward Portland as a 3.5-point favorite because Devin Booker is out with that hip injury, but that’s created a massive value opportunity on Phoenix. The Suns ML is trading at 42 cents—plus money. Jalen Green proved yesterday he can carry the scoring load with 26 points. We are staying the course on the Suns to pull the upset in Phoenix. Alex Mercer: That’s the morning review. But Marcus, you’ve got something new for the 7:00 PM window. Let’s talk about the 76ers vs. Timberwolves. Marcus Webb: This is the Late Breaking Play of the night: Tyrese Maxey Over 29.5 Points. This is trading right now at 62 cents on the over. Here is the math: Joel Embiid is out, Paul George is suspended. That leaves a total offensive vacuum in Philadelphia. Maxey already leads the league in minutes at nearly 39 per game, and his usage rate without Embiid spikes to over 34%. On the other side, Minnesota is missing their defensive anchor, Rudy Gobert, who is also serving a suspension. The 76ers are on a back-to-back, which usually means tired legs, but for Maxey, it means he’s going to have to shoot 25 to 30 times just to keep them in the game. If you can get this at 29.5 points or even 30.5 under 65 cents, you take it. The volume is guaranteed. Alex Mercer: Love the Maxey play. Let’s lock the portfolio.
