We’ve got a heavy slate of NBA and NHL action today, and the prediction markets are showing some massive inefficiencies in the player prop and total lines. Marcus, looking at the board today, I’m seeing a lot of value in the rebounding markets, specifically out West.

**ANALYST (Marcus Webb):** You aren't kidding, Alex. I’ve got my eyes locked on that Nikola Jokić rebounding total in Salt Lake City. The market is giving us a price that simply doesn't account for the absolute state of the Utah frontcourt right now. There’s alpha all over the hardwood today, but we’re starting in D.C. where the Rockets are dealing with some major rotation shifts.

Alex Mercer: Exactly. Let’s dive into the Rockets and Wizards. We’re looking at Amen Thompson’s rebounding total, specifically Over 7.5. This is currently trading at 64 cents, implying a 64% probability, but our fair value is closer to 72%. The big hook here is the confirmed absence of Jabari Smith Jr. with that ankle sprain. When Smith is out, Thompson’s role in the frontcourt expands significantly. He just cleared 11 boards against Miami 48 hours ago, and now he’s facing a Wizards team that is 29th in rebounding percentage allowed to wings. 

Marcus Webb: And don't forget, Washington is missing Alex Sarr due to that hamstring issue. They have zero rim protection and even less glass security. Thompson is averaging 9.1 rebounds in his recent starts. This isn't just a trend; it's a mathematical necessity given the Rockets' current lineup. Since this one tips off at 7:00 PM ET, we’ll have updated market data on this one in our 6:30 PM ET evening edition.

Alex Mercer: Sticking with that same game, we’re also targeting Tari Eason Over 14.5 points. I love this because Eason is seeing a massive usage surge—up 4.2% against bottom-five defenses. Washington fits that bill perfectly; they’ve bottomed out with a 127.3 defensive rating over their last five games. Eason logged 36 minutes in his last outing and he’s carrying 16.2 PPG momentum into this matchup. 

Marcus Webb: The Wizards' bench defense is the least efficient in the league. If Eason keeps that 22.4% usage rate we’ve seen recently, he’s projected for 17.4 points. At the current market price, you’re buying a high-volume context that the public hasn't fully priced in yet.

Alex Mercer: Moving to the late-night slate, we’re looking at the Big Man in Denver. Nikola Jokić Over 12.5 rebounds. It’s trading at 56 cents right now. Marcus, you mentioned the Utah frontcourt earlier—it’s a graveyard. 

Marcus Webb: It’s a total disaster for the Jazz. No Walker Kessler, no Jusuf Nurkić. They’re starting rookie Kyle Filipowski against the best player in the world. Utah is 30th in total rebounding rate at 47.1%. Jokić is leading the NBA with 12.6 boards per game and has averaged 14.2 over his last five. Even on the second night of a back-to-back, with Aaron Gordon out, Jokić is going to have to do everything. He’s projected for 14.1 rebounds tonight. This game starts at 9:00 PM ET, so keep an eye on our evening show for any late sharp moves.

Alex Mercer: Let’s switch gears to the ice. Blue Jackets at Rangers. The market has the total at 4.5 goals, which, frankly, feels insulting. We are hammer-clicking the Over. The Rangers are top five in high-danger chances created, and Artemi Panarin is playing at a 98th-percentile level in offensive zone metrics. On the other side, Zach Werenski is on a record-breaking nine-game point streak for Columbus.

Marcus Webb: Alex, the historical success rate for a 4.5 total in pro hockey is over 86%. The Rangers are in a 3-11-2 defensive slump, and Columbus is playing high-event hockey under Rick Bowness, totaling 13 goals in their last two games. This is a massive mispricing of volatility. Marcus Webb: We’re staying in New York for this one. Give me the Rangers Moneyline as a home underdog. They are currently trading at 45.5 cents, or +104. The market is overreacting to Columbus’s high-volume offense and ignoring the return of a healthy Igor Shesterkin. He looked elite with 31 saves on February 28th. Columbus is on a two-game skid and struggling with their neutral-zone structure. Historically, the Rangers win at a 53% clip in this specific tier, but the market is only giving them a 45% chance. That’s pure alpha.
