Alex Mercer: Welcome back to Prediction Market HQ: Daily Sports. It is Thursday, March 5th, 2026, and we are moving fast into the evening slate. If you’re looking for an edge on tonight’s odds or looking to place your late-session bets, you are in the right place. We encourage you to jump into Kalshi, Polymarket, or your prediction market app of choice with us; as always, we will be using Polymarket’s data to track where the sharp money is moving. I’m Alex Mercer, and joining me to lock in the portfolio is Marcus Webb. Marcus, the board is shifting—let’s get to work. Marcus Webb: It’s a high-leverage night, Alex. We’ve got heavyweight matchups in the NBA and a critical cross-conference clash in the NHL. The markets are reacting to late injury news, and we need to be precise with our entries before these windows close. Alex Mercer: Agreed. Let’s start with the Re-Verify. We’re doing a roll call on our morning positions to see where we stand before the first whistles. First up: how is that Mavericks vs. Magic position looking? Marcus Webb: At the time of recording, we are still 15 minutes out from the 7:00 PM Eastern tip-off in Orlando. The Magic market is currently trading at 78 cents. With Dallas sitting at 21 and 40 and missing Marvin Bagley III, the Magic are heavy favorites here. We are holding this position. If you can still get Orlando at 80 cents or better before tip, it’s a solid anchor for the night. Alex Mercer: Copy that. Next on the list: Pistons vs. Spurs. We were monitoring this one closely this morning—what’s the status? Marcus Webb: This is the game of the night, featuring the top team in the East against the number two in the West. As we sit here now, the Spurs are trading at 64 cents with an 8:00 PM Eastern start time. No live score yet, but the conviction is high. The Spurs have won 12 of their last 13, and while Detroit is elite, San Antonio’s home-court dominance is the factor here. We are holding and even looking to add on the spread markets if the line stays at 3.5. Alex Mercer: Third check: we have a position on Lakers vs. Nuggets. Marcus, give us the update. Marcus Webb: This is a late 10:00 PM Eastern start on Prime Video. The Nuggets are currently trading at 66 cents. We’re seeing some late movement here because Aaron Gordon is confirmed out, but Denver is still the sharp play at home. At the time of recording, there is no score, obviously, but we are holding firm. Conditional advice: if this price spikes to 75 cents on news of a LeBron James rest day, we might look to hedge, but for now, it’s a Hold. Alex Mercer: And the second market we’re tracking on that Lakers vs. Nuggets matchup? Marcus Webb: Same status. We are monitoring the totals market here, which is currently centered around 237.5. No action yet, but we are keeping it on the watchlist to see if the sharp money pushes that over 240 before the late tip-off. Alex Mercer: Finally, the ice. Senators vs. Flames. Where are we? Marcus Webb: We’re looking at a 9:00 PM Eastern start in Calgary. The Senators are trading at 60 cents on the moneyline. Ottawa has been hot, going 6-2-2 in their last ten, while the Flames are stumbling on a three-game slide. As we sit here now, we are holding the Senators. If you’re just getting in, try to catch this under 65 cents before they take the ice at the Saddledome. Alex Mercer: Alright, that’s the roll call. Now, let’s talk new business. We’ve got a late-breaking play that just hit the wires for the Pistons and Spurs game. Marcus, what’s the move? Marcus Webb: We are jumping on Keldon Johnson Over 3.5 Rebounds, currently trading at 55 cents. The catalyst here is the confirmed news that Spurs starter Harrison Barnes is out tonight with an ankle injury. Johnson is already averaging 5.6 boards per game and coming off a massive 9-rebound performance against Philly. With Barnes out, Johnson’s minutes and rebounding opportunities in the second unit are going to skyrocket. Even against a tough Detroit frontcourt, 3.5 is a remarkably low floor. If you can still get this under 60 cents before the 8:00 PM tip, take it. Alex Mercer: Love the logic there. Let’s do a rapid-fire recap of the Master List for tonight’s portfolio. Marcus Webb: Here is the final roster: 1. Orlando Magic Moneyline (7:00 PM ET) – Trading at 78 cents. HOLD. 2. San Antonio Spurs Moneyline (8:00 PM ET) – Trading at 64 cents. HOLD. 3. Denver Nuggets Moneyline (10:00 PM ET) – Trading at 66 cents. HOLD. 4. Ottawa Senators Moneyline (9:00 PM ET) – Trading at 60 cents. HOLD. 5. Keldon Johnson Over 3.5 Rebounds (8:00 PM ET) – Trading at 55 cents. NEW ADD. Alex Mercer: High stakes tonight with the top teams in the league facing off.
