Alex Mercer: Start us off with the early NBA action. How’s that Celtics versus Cavaliers position looking?

Marcus Webb: That one is in the books. The Celtics took it 109 to 98. It was a clinical performance that stayed within the expected margin. We are currently marking this as a "Final - Pending Grade" on the platform, but for our purposes, the thesis held.

Alex Mercer: What about the Knicks and Lakers? We saw some heavy volume there this morning.

Marcus Webb: This was a tough one for the New York backers. The Lakers protected home court with a 110 to 97 win. Similar to the Boston game, this is sitting at "Final - Pending Grade." The Lakers' interior defense really dictated the pace there, which is a trend we're tracking for future plays.

Alex Mercer: Moving to the ice—Wild versus Avalanche. That was a high-leverage market.

Marcus Webb: It was a battle, but the Avalanche edged it out 3 to 2. Again, the scoreboard is final. We’re just waiting for the markets to officially settle and grade the contracts. It was a tight game that could have swung on a single power play, but the Colorado defense held firm late.

Alex Mercer: And finally, for the morning roll call, we have a live one. How are the Wizards and Pelicans looking?

Marcus Webb: At the time of recording, we are early in the first quarter. As we sit here now, the Wizards lead 12 to 8 with about eight and a half minutes left in the first. This was a "Conviction Held" play from this morning, and we are staying the course. If you’re looking at live markets, don't chase a swing here—if you can still get the Pelicans at a reasonable entry if they dip early, that’s the play, but for now, we Hold.

Alex Mercer: Alright, let’s look forward. We have two late-breaking plays to add to the ledger. First up, we’re looking at the total in Orlando and Milwaukee. This market is currently trading at 52 cents for the Under. Marcus, what’s the edge?

Marcus Webb: This is a "Defensive Pace Squeeze." The Bucks are on the second night of a back-to-back and they are resting both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Porter Jr. That is an massive vacuum of offensive production. Orlando is already a top-tier defensive unit—they just held Minnesota to 92 points yesterday—and they’re still without Franz Wagner. We are looking at two shorthanded rosters in a game that should be played in the half-court. With Milwaukee ranking 27th in scoring recently, the Under 221.5 is a high-conviction add. This tips off at 8:00 PM Eastern, so the window is closing.

Alex Mercer: I love the logic there. Next, we’re going to the player prop markets. We’re fading Julian Champagnie’s rebounding. This is trading at 58 cents for the Under 5.5. Why are we betting against him tonight?

Marcus Webb: It’s a pure regression play against a physical interior. Champagnie has cleared this 5.5 mark in three straight, but he’s walking into a buzzsaw tonight against Houston. The Rockets lead the NBA in rebounding at over 48 per game, and they’re getting Jabari Smith Jr. back tonight. Between Alperen Sengun and Kevin Durant, the Rockets swallow up rebounds and limit opposing wings to league-low totals. Champagnie is playing his third game in four nights and dealing with knee soreness. His 20-game average is 5.1; tonight he stays under. This one starts at 7:00 PM Eastern.
