Marcus Webb: The volatility is high tonight, Alex, but the data is clear. We’ve got a massive mismatch in the mountains and some key absences in the Eastern Conference that are creating major value gaps.

Alex Mercer: Let’s start with the Re-Verify. We’re doing a roll call on our morning positions to see where we stand before the buzzer. First up: Cavaliers vs. Magic. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM Eastern. How’s that Cleveland position looking?

Marcus Webb: As we sit here now, we are holding the conviction on Cleveland, but the math has shifted slightly. Jarrett Allen has been officially ruled out with that knee issue, which is a blow to their interior defense. However, Donovan Mitchell’s points prop is trading at 62 cents for the Over 26.5. With Allen out, Mitchell’s usage rate is projected to spike. If you can still get the Cavs at minus 2.5, hold the position. If it climbs to 4, we might look to hedge, but for now, it's a Hold.

Alex Mercer: Next on the list, Raptors vs. Pelicans at 8:00 PM. Status check on the Pels?

Marcus Webb: This is a Monitor. The "Brandon Ingram Revenge" narrative is driving a lot of retail money, but the sharps are looking at the total. The market is currently trading at 52 cents for the Over 232.5. New Orleans is 27th in points allowed and 26th in defensive rating. We are sticking with the Over here. If the line moves past 235 before tip-off, be conservative, but at the current price, we are staying the course.

Alex Mercer: Moving to the 9:00 PM window, we have the Knicks vs. the Jazz. We had this as a morning monitor—what’s the verdict?

Marcus Webb: We are bailing on the standard spread and pivoting to specific angles. The Jazz are essentially a G-League team tonight. Kessler, Nurkic, and Markkanen are all out. The Knicks are 12.5-point favorites, but with the Jazz missing their entire frontcourt rotation, the volatility on a blowout is too high for a standard side bet. We’re moving our capital to the props and the total which we’ll cover in the late adds.

Alex Mercer: And finally, on the ice: Capitals vs. Flyers at 7:30 PM. How are we playing the Metro battle?

Marcus Webb: Conviction held. This is a pure "must-win" scenario for both, but the Capitals have the goaltending edge with Logan Thompson confirmed in net. The Flyers are coming off a brutal 6-2 loss to the Rangers and their secondary scoring is banged up. The Capitals moneyline is trading at 58 cents right now. If you can get it under 62, it’s a strong play. We are holding our morning position.

Alex Mercer: Alright, let's look at the Late Breaking Plays. We’ve got two new entries for that Knicks-Jazz matchup that just hit the high-conviction threshold. Marcus, walk us through the Shamet play.

Marcus Webb: This is the play of the night. Landry Shamet: Points Over 9.5. It is currently trading at 65 cents. With Josh Hart and Miles McBride officially ruled out, Shamet is locked into high-volume minutes. He’s cleared this 9.5 line in four of his last five games, and he’s facing a Utah defense that ranks dead last in the NBA with a 121.9 defensive rating. Even in a blowout, Shamet stays on the floor to provide spacing. If you can still get this under 70 cents, it is a high-conviction add. 

Marcus Webb: We’re also adding the Over 229.5 for Knicks-Jazz. Our models are projecting a final score around 235.1. Again, Utah is missing Kessler and Nurkic—their primary rim protectors. Karl-Anthony Towns is coming off a 35-point night and he’s going to live in the paint. The Jazz push the pace regardless of the score, and the Knicks' number three-ranked offense will have no resistance. This total is trading at 55 cents; we like it up to 231.
