# PREDICTION MARKET HQ: DAILY SPORTS ## Evening Edition — Tuesday, April 21, 2026 --- Alex Mercer: Welcome back to Prediction Market HQ — Daily Sports Evening Edition. I'm Alex Mercer. Marcus Webb is here. We've got five morning positions to check, three late adds dropping tonight, and the bets are live. We encourage you to jump into Kalshi or your prediction market app of choice with us — as always, we'll be using Kalshi's data to track where the sharp money is moving. Let's get into it. --- Alex Mercer: Alright Marcus, let's run the roll call. We've got a full card tonight — two NBA playoff games, three NHL playoff games, and baseball kicking things off early. Start us where the night starts: Philadelphia versus Boston, Game 2. Tip-off at 7:00 PM ET. How's that Maxey position looking? Marcus Webb: Still love it. We re-ran the numbers this afternoon — fair value sits at 65%, market's pricing Philadelphia at 59 cents. That's a 5.8% edge, and it hasn't moved since morning. We're holding the full unit. Alex Mercer: And the Tatum return doesn't spook you? Marcus Webb: It's noise. Look — after that 123-91 blowout in Game 1, Maxey came out and said that performance was "not okay." That's a guy who's going to be aggressive. His usage rate from Game 1 was 38%, and with Embiid still out, the Sixers have exactly one gear: funnel everything through Maxey. Boston's scheme — Holiday and White staying home on shooters — actually opens the lane for him. The thesis is intact. One unit, we hold. --- Alex Mercer: Good. Next up — Utah versus Vegas, Game 2. That's a 10:00 PM ET puck drop. Marcus, the Golden Knights are up 1-0. Where are we on this one? Marcus Webb: Holding. One unit. Fair value at 45%, market's at 36 cents. That's a nine-point edge — nine points, Alex — and it hasn't budged. Alex Mercer: Nine cents. That's a significant gap. Marcus Webb: It is. And the story here is Utah's center depth is just gone. Hayton out, McBain out. Vegas put up 52 hits in Game 1 — they're physically dismantling Utah's speed-based attack. And Carter Hart has been perfect since returning April 2nd. He posted a .939 save percentage in the opener. The Mammoth have no answer for what Tortorella is running at them. We stay. --- Alex Mercer: Okay. Now — Los Angeles versus Colorado, Game 2. Also 10:00 PM ET. This one had a notable re-price this afternoon. Walk us through it. Marcus Webb: So — morning, we had this at 75% fair value against a 71-cent market. That was a four-cent edge. We held one unit. Then the market moved — hard. It dropped to 51 cents. The edge went from four points to nearly twenty-four points overnight. Alex Mercer: Twenty-four points. Marcus Webb: Twenty-three point seven, to be exact. So we re-ran the math, and the answer was clear — we're doubling up. Two units on Colorado to win Game 2 at home. Wedgewood is the story here — .960 playoff save percentage. The Kings simply cannot solve him. Colorado's home NetRtg is elite. This is the best edge on our entire card tonight. Alex Mercer: And the market just... handed that to us? Marcus Webb: Sometimes it does. --- Alex Mercer: Alright — Boston versus Buffalo, Game 2. Puck drop at 7:30 PM ET. This one I know had some movement. What happened? Marcus Webb: We're out. Morning, we had a 7% edge — fair value 29%, market at 38 cents. We re-ran the numbers this evening, and the market moved against us. It's now at 38 cents against our 29% fair value, which means we're sitting at a negative 9.5% edge. The edge is gone, the math says exit, and we're respecting the math. Alex Mercer: See, that's the thing — the morning thesis on Buffalo was real. The Ice Tilt numbers, the possession advantage. But when the market catches up— Marcus Webb: You don't fight it. Boston's making adjustments too — reportedly increasing Pastrnak's usage to crack that defensive shell. Too many variables, edge is gone. Zero units. We move on. --- Alex Mercer: Houston versus Cleveland. First pitch was confirmed for 6:10 PM ET. Marcus — Parker Messick on the mound for the Guardians. What's the status? Marcus Webb: We're holding conviction on Cleveland. Messick comes in with a 1.05 ERA through 25.2 innings this season — and this is a guy who nearly threw a no-hitter in his last start. Broken up in the ninth. He's locked in. His battery with Austin Hedges, working that six-pitch mix — Houston has no read on him right now. Alex Mercer: And Houston's pitching side of this equation? Marcus Webb: They lead the league in runs allowed. That's not a stat you want going up against a hot starter. This was a high-conviction play this morning, and nothing has changed. We hold. --- Alex Mercer: Okay — late adds. Three of them tonight. Let's go. Philadelphia Phillies at Chicago Cubs — this is the lead play. Marcus, set it up. Marcus Webb: One and a half units on the Cubs. This is our biggest evening position. Trading at — check your market — but the conviction here is high. The Cubs have won six straight. The Phillies have lost six straight, and they've been outscored 42-10 during that slide. Alex Mercer: Forty-two to ten. That's not a slump, that's a collapse. Marcus Webb: And it gets worse for Philly. Jhoan Duran is out — oblique. Zach Pop is out — calf. Their bullpen is compromised at exactly the wrong time. Jesus Luzardo is starting with a 7.94 ERA, and he faced this exact Cubs lineup six days ago on April 15th. They shelled him for nine runs. Alex Mercer: Eight earned. Marcus Webb: Eight earned. And now he comes back to Wrigley with 11 mph winds and Moisés Ballesteros hitting .381 with a 1.00 OPS waiting for him. One and a half units. Lead play of the night. --- Alex Mercer: Baltimore at Kansas City. One and a half units on the Royals — high conviction label. Kansas City is on an eight-game skid. Explain this one to me. Marcus Webb: Right. So the skid is real, but look at what's actually happening. In yesterday's extra-inning loss, the Royals outhit Baltimore 14 to 6. Fourteen hits. The problem has been converting, not competing. Alex Mercer: Okay— Marcus Webb: And tonight the pitching matchup flips entirely in Kansas City's favor. Kris Bubic — 1.06 WHIP, 3.97 ERA — against Shane Baz, who's carrying a 1.55 WHIP and has allowed three-plus runs in most of his starts this season. Meanwhile Baltimore is missing Rutschman, Holliday, and Westburg. Three All-Stars. All on the IL. Alex Mercer: That's a depleted lineup walking into a desperate team's house. Marcus Webb: One and a half units. High conviction. --- Alex Mercer: And the third late add — St. Louis Cardinals at Miami. One unit on the Marlins to win by more than a run and a half. Value play. Marcus Webb: Value play, but the edge is real. Dustin May is starting for St. Louis with a 6.98 ERA and a .351 opponent batting average. The Cardinals rotation has been described as rebuilding — and it shows. Miami won Game 1 of this series 5-3, and Chris Paddack's underlying numbers are encouraging even if the surface stats are mixed. Alex Mercer: And loanDepot park plays into this? Marcus Webb: Pitcher-friendly environment, Marlins' team ERA is 4.01 versus St. Louis's 4.86. The model puts Miami covering the run-and-a-half line at 44%. One unit, we take the value. --- Alex Mercer: Alright — Full Card. Let's rapid-fire it. Here's where we stand on Tuesday, April 21st. Marcus Webb: Philadelphia over Boston, Game 2 — one unit, 7:00 PM ET tip-off, market at 59 cents. Utah over Vegas, Game 2 — one unit, 10:00 PM ET, market at 36 cents. Colorado over Los Angeles, Game 2 — two units, 10:00 PM ET, market at 51 cents. Houston-Cleveland — one unit, 6:10 PM ET first pitch. Cubs over Phillies — one and a half units, tonight at Wrigley. Royals over Orioles — one and a half units, tonight in Kansas City. Marlins over Cardinals by one and a half-plus — one unit, tonight in Miami. Alex Mercer: That's eight and a half total units on the board. Boston-Buffalo is the only position we exited today. Everything else — we're in. Marcus Webb: And the Colorado position at two units with a 23-point edge is the one to watch tonight. Alex Mercer: If you can still get Colorado under 55 cents when you're hearing this, that's the play. The market may have moved — check your app before you act. For the live games already underway — Houston-Cleveland, Boston-Buffalo, Philly-Boston — don't chase volatile markets. If you're getting this 15 minutes after we recorded, wait for a stable window. --- Alex Mercer: Tuesday night. Eight and a half units deployed. Sharp money tracked. Today is Tuesday, so no Ledger Recap tonight — that comes Thursday. We'll have the full accounting then. Until tomorrow — stay sharp, stay disciplined, and as always: opinions expressed are for informational purposes only. Bet responsibly. --- **
